I came across a song recently called “Next Year” by Donovan Woods and the lyrics really hit me like a ton of bricks. Donovan is a Canadian singer-songwriter.
Typically, it’s something we all say on a regular basis… I’ll do that next year, or I’ll go see so-and-so next year or I’ll travel to such-and-such a place next year. The thing is, time passes us by in the blink of an eye and often the things we promise ourselves (or others) to do never get done and before you know it, it’s too late.
So for the coming year, I invite you to take something off your to do list and actually do it! We all have a to do list, right? And what usually happens… we add to it rather than take something off it! 🙂 So, pick the smallest, simplest thing off your list and just do it because as Donovan says – “there ain’t no next year.”
